Scope of Work:
A unique opportunity for a skilled professional with a background or knowledge within Pressure Vessel integrity and reliability. In this position, you have the overall responsibility for inspection, assessment, and integrity of our offshore pressure vessels and tanks within Total E&P Denmark (TEPDK). TEPDK operates 16 fields from 50 offshore platforms on the Danish continental shelf, where the main manned platforms are Dan, Halfdan and Gorm.
As Inspection Engineer your role is fundamental in safeguarding the integrity of our offshore assets where you will be a part of a highly motivated and qualified inspection team with varying fields of expertise. You will be able to learn and develop your competencies continuously having a central role in planning, defining, identifying, and improving inspection programs, philosophy, and strategies. We expect that you can use your knowledge and experience when analyzing, validating, and complementing the site’s inspection reports and ensure a proper feeding to the RBI Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall, you have the responsibility of the Pressure Vessel and Tank Inspection program and execution on all the operating offshore installations. You are the one to define the inspection scope and identify the optimum inspection scheme.
You will have a close cooperation with the offshore assets, and especially the dedicated Site Inspector as well as vendors and the onshore Fabric Maintenance and Campaign of work teams. Finally, you are responsible for HSE onboarding and mobilization of Inspection personnel.
These areas of responsibilities will include tasks such as:
- Conduct detailed planning with the Inspection Contractor
- Provide input to the Planning and Schedule processes
- Liaise with Site Inspector for execution of inspection activities
- Perform evaluation of inspection findings
- Request for fitness-for-service assessment as and when required
- Maintain and keep the Inspection Database up to date
- Act as guardian for the safety critical elements within area of responsibility
- Define repair/replacement scope and ensures a proper remediation with other entities (Maintenance and construction);
- Close out of notifications and work orders upon completion of work scope.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the inspection philosophy and strategies
- Provide input to the monthly inspection report (incl. KPI definition as per affiliate and HQ requirements).
- Keep track of anomalies and contribute to the regulator derogation process.
- Participate and contribute to inspection audits.
- Provide budget input and cost control of associated inspection activities.
Offshore visit shall be expected as part of this position
Background/Qualification/Experience required
- Seasoned relevant experience of Inspection in the Oil & Gas Industry or Chemical Industry with a passage on site as Inspector or;
- Degree within Mechanical/Marine Engineering or within NDT/NDE
- Knowledge of Risk Based Inspection methodology;
- Knowledge of UNISUP/SAP (CMIMS);
- Knowledge of production processes is an advantage;
- Proficiency in oral and written English
