1993 - 2003
Cetec Energy was founded in Padborg in 1993 by electrical installer Carl Ejner Andersen. After a decade in the oil and gas industry, he grew tired of rigid, hierarchical corporate cultures and wanted a different approach, where employee well-being and orderliness were at the centre. This laid the foundation for Cetec Energy and is still at the core of the company's DNA.
2003 - 2013
Cetec Energy grew organically throughout the 1990s to around 15 employees - without a fixed growth target, but with a focus on solving high-quality tasks.
The small consultancy survived market fluctuations by keeping costs low and always working as a unified team.
A strong culture of trust, accountability and collaboration proved to be the strong foundation that kept customers coming back for more.
2014 - 2024
In 2014, the company moved to Esbjerg to be closer to the industry and to attract even more skilled specialists. The move provided an opportunity to expand and develop new competences, so electrical engineering tasks were supplemented by mechanical tasks, quality control and training.
Carl-Ejner and his team fit perfectly into Esbjerg's special spirit, where companies lift together and utilise each other's skills.
2025 -
In 2025, Carl Ejner Andersen chose to appoint a professional CEO, Johnny Ryser Gregersen, who, surrounded by a strong leadership team, leads the company into the future, still with its roots firmly planted in the company's strong DNA: Respect, responsibility and a strong culture of co-operation and quality. Then as now, we believe in the motto: We believe in people - they drive our success
