Job description

Working as a Consultant for Ce-Tec A/S at a Danish Oil & Gas Company. 

 

Situation in organization

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 18 months

 

Job and service dimension

This position is responsible for delivering material coordination project support which is key role of all offshore activities. Interface with various parties; Engineer, QA/QC, IM, HUC, Planning, EPC Contractor, Purchasing service provider. Reports to engineering manager.

The Project is entering a critical phase with high intensity offshore activities that require high reactivity from the onshore team and high pression to maintain the start-up planning. Coordination and offshore work preparation are then of the essence for the success of the Project. The environment is that of a multi-cultural, multi-discipline, multi-language, and you will need to ensure proper communication, and understanding within all parties involved.

 

Activitites

  • Expedite EPC procurement team to obtain a clear status of their procurement activities
  • Request EPC to update their procurement plan with missing items that would be identified during the Work Packs review
  • Take necessary actions towards EPC and/or vendor in case of equipment delivery slippage or any delivery acceleration required
  • Elaborate/compile Requisition dossier for any new equipment/component that would be identified
  • Instruct the Purchasing Service Provider to enquire quotation to suppliers
  • Review and validate vendors offer and instruct Purchasing Service Provider to place the orders
  • Expedite suppliers and Purchasing Service Provider up to final delivery at Company warehouse in Esbjerg and provide weekly report
  • Initiate inspection, ensure supplier documentation go to the require review cycle in PIMS
  • Communicate ETA dates to planning group and take necessary actions in case of slippage
  • Ensure vendors’ technical documents are properly managed and communicated to the right entities

  • Continue effective daily execution and optimisation of activities

 

 

Background/Qualification/Experience required

  • Knowledge of Procurement tools and techniques
  • Engineering background and relevant experience
  • Engineering discipline qualifications
  • Procurement and delivery experience within industry
  • Competent with MS Office suite/software
  • Familiar with company procurement systems is an advantage
  • Experience with company document management system (PIMS) is an advantage
