Working as a Consultant for Ce-Tec A/S at a Danish Oil & Gas Company. 

 

Job and service dimension

Providing Instrument Engineering support to Project in accordance with approved procedures and guidelines, design limitations, technical standards, and legislative requirements. Reporting to the Control System, Instrument and Telecom Leader that is part of the overall project engineering organisation

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 18 months

 

Context and Environment

The Project is entering a critical phase with high intensity offshore activities that require high reactivity from the onshore team and high pression to maintain the start-up planning. Coordination and offshore work preparation are then of the essence for the success of the Project. The environment is that of a multi-cultural, multi-discipline, multi-language, and you will need to ensure proper communication, and understanding within all parties involved.

 

Activitites

  • With a strong focus on safety and operability, be responsible for providing instrument engineering support to the team members
  • Key Engineering activities include:
  • Responsible for the technical assurance of instrument engineering deliverables
  • Responsible for ensuring the technical content of the CPY standards, procedures and guidelines are up to date
  • Support for review and acceptance of dispensations and technical queries
  • Review of design documentation
  • Review technical documentation
  • Participate in audits as required
  • Support the Management of Change
  • Participate in HAZOPs, HAZIDs and risk assessments when required
  • Visit offshore installations to gain an understanding and clarification of instrument issued that may have arisen

 

Accountabilities/Purpose

  • Maintain an updated and consistent engineering design dossier
  • Observe company values at all times and in all matters
  • Ensure that all activities are performed in a cost-effective manner
  • Ensure that all information, written as verbal, concerning the company is treated confidentially

 

Background/Qualification/Experience required

  • 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas projects as Instrumentation
  • Knowledge of the Company process and automation specifications
  • Ability to adapt and to represent the company in discussions, negotiations and meetings with contractors, and regulatory authorities
  • Able to communicate and to work with all COMPANY and Vendor personnel
  • Fluent in English
  • Hands on and computer literate (standard software)
