Job and service dimension
Onshore position, Copenhagen offices with an option of working from home up to 2 days per week
Normal office hours
Start date: 01.09.2022
End date: 28.02.2023 with an option of 6-month extension of contract
Activitites
Scope of Work:
- Providing process support to Process Quick Look Assessments (PQLA):
- Active engaging in Carbon Footprint Reduction (CFR) and energy efficiency studies and activities
- Providing support to Carbon Capture and Storage (CSS) studies
- Performing and reviewing process studies up to and including the FEED phase of the development process
- Providing assistance and follow-up for process studies in the project execution phase of the development process
- Participation in audits and reviews (QR, PR, Opersafe)
- Contributing to, supervising, and reviewing the work from less experienced engineers in:
- Process simulations
- Development and review of process diagrams (PFD/UFDs and PIDs)
- Definition of the safety diagrams (ESD logic)
- Optimization of treatment and transportation in terms of recovery, energy efficiency and cost
- Sizing of equipment and piping
- Development of equipment lists
- Ensuring that process deliverables issued by contractors are in line with internal rules and international standards
- Providing process engineering assistance to affiliates
- Supervising less experienced engineers
- Preparation of technical presentations (quality review, project reviews)
Context and Environment
The Process Engineering team is solicited by project teams, affiliates (or OPCOs) as well as by R&D teams for studies, assistance, follow-up or verification, operational troubleshooting, and modification studies. The Process Engineering team is part of the OneTech Conventional Offshore Customer Line, working in close cooperation with OneTech Technical Line Process Engineering.
The role is to contribute to the improvement of E&P performance to cope with the environment that is characterized by:
- Top priority in achieving an improved environmental performance of existing and new facilities
- An increasing focus on the profitability in an environment with a volatile oil price
- An asset portfolio which becomes more diversified, requiring development of specific solutions to stay competitive
- An increasing number of mature conventional offshore assets
- Supporting Company’s goal to be the responsible energy major, producing better energy
Accountabilities
In close collaboration with Process Study Leads:
- Perform process studies with the aim to reduce carbon footprint
- Perform process studies related to development studies
- Provide process assistance to project teams, affiliates, and OPCOS’
Background/Qualification/Experience required
- Chemical engineer degree, petroleum engineering or similar
- Professional experience: 8-12 years’ experience
- Experience in upstream process: 8-10 years’ experience
- Good communication skills, proficiency in oral and written English. Ability to engage within team, with co-workers, clients, and stakeholders in a supportive, constructive, open-minded, and challenging manner. A mindset focusing on sustainability and safety and being part of the solution when challenged.
- Required competencies: Excellent knowledge of physicochemical properties of petroleum products, chemical engineering and thermodynamics, process treatment of petroleum effluents and business IT PRO II, UNISIM, etc. Good knowledge of Fluid flow.
