Lifetime Extension
Efficient repairs and upgrades that reduce downtime and preserve the value of critical assets
Extend the lifespan. Reduce costs. Maintain operations.
Cetec Energy focuses on life extension of critical installations and components across the energy sector. Through technical analysis, specialised execution and proven quality, solutions are created that maintain function, reduce the need for replacement and support stable operation over time.
Lifetime extension across the energy sector
Critical energy structures and facilities need to be protected against downtime, unplanned outages and emergency repair costs.
At Cetec Energy, we empower customers' energy operations by providing the specialised expertise, precision and capacity needed to keep critical assets running at peak performance.
Your Trusted Partner
Specialised knowledge. Reliable solutions. Trust built on professionalism.
Onsite repairs as a basis for lifetime extension
By carrying out repairs directly on the installation, the lifespan of critical components can be significantly extended.
The onsite approach reduces both downtime and costs, as component replacement and heavy crane operations can often be avoided.
This makes it possible to keep existing assets in operation longer and maximise value through targeted, efficient repairs.

Yaw Ring Repair
Yaw ring repair becomes relevant when damaged teeth on a yaw ring affect the wind turbine's ability to turn the nacelle correctly towards the windthe.
The challenge
Worn and broken teeth on the yaw ring can lead to misalignment, increased stress on the drive system and, in the worst case, downtime.
The traditional solution is often to replace the entire yaw ring. This typically requires a crane, longer downtime and significant costs for spare parts, planning and external equipment.
The alternative
At Cetec Energy, we perform yaw ring repair on the uptower. This means that the repair can be carried out directly in the wind turbine without full disassembly of the nacelle.
Using a specialised and proven procedure, the damaged teeth are milled, welded and restored so that the tooth profile again matches the required geometry. The work is carried out with a focus on quality, documentation and reliability.
The result
The method brings the workshop's competences uptower in the wind turbine. For the operator, this means shorter downtime, lower overall costs and a more controlled process than a full replacement.
This type of yaw ring repair can extend the life of a critical component and get the turbine back in production within days - not weeks.
The combination of customised lifting solution & weld repair saves downtime
A specially developed suspension and fixation system makes it possible to perform bolt removal and installation without dismantling major components.
This avoids heavy lifting operations and extensive disassembly, reducing repair time, improving safety and supporting a complete uptower repair process.
... and a subsequent bracket installation secures the structure against future breakdowns
After the weld repair is complete, a bracket is installed to provide structural reinforcement and prevent repetitive damage.
The solution can be used for both post-damage remediation and preventive measures to extend service life.
The result is an efficient solution that eliminates the need for component replacement and minimises downtime.
