Asset Integrity & Reliability
Reliability and longevity through technical analysis, obsolescence management and risk-based improvements.
Maximise reliability and lifetime
Cetec Energy is dedicated to securing and improving the condition and reliability of electrical installations in facilities with both new and longer operating histories.
The effort includes structured assessment of switchboards, distribution systems and critical electrical components to determine the actual technical condition and identify conditions that affect stable operation and future maintenance.
Documented basis for decision making
Asset Integrity & Reliability provides a structured and documented assessment of the condition of the installation and future risks. It creates a technically sound basis for decisions on upgrades, lifetime extension or change of maintenance strategy.
The assessment is based on a combination of technical review, analysing historical operational data and assessing the current function and availability of components. The result is a clear overview of where the installation is robust and where weaknesses exist that should be prioritised.
It allows management and the technical organisation to make decisions on a documented basis - with clear correlation between risk, investment and expected impact on operations and stability.
”Asset integrity is not just about controlling equipment - it's about understanding the true state of the installation and the risks that come with age and changes over time.
At Cetec Energy, we combine technical insight with practical experience from existing plants. This gives our customers a clear and documented basis for making the right decisions about lifetime, upgrades and operations.”

Obsolescence management
Strategic management of phased out and obsolete equipment
In many existing facilities, outdated relays, components and control systems pose an increasing risk. Missing spare parts and manufacturer shutdowns can lead to unpredictable downtime. Checks and tests are based on the actual configuration and operating history of the system.
Cetec Energy implements:
- Mapping obsolete components in switchboards and installations
- Assessment of spare parts situation and security of supply
- Technical analysis of consequences of component failure
- Planning a gradual upgrade or targeted retrofit
- Decision-making basis for lifetime extension over total replacement
Condition assessment
Identifying weaknesses and assessing the risk picture of the installation
Condition assessments are conducted with a focus on actual function and the current status of the installation - not just documentation. The result is a fact-based overview of the technical condition of the installation.
Services include, among other things:
- Review of electrical switchboards and distribution systems
- Assessment of relays, switches and protective equipment
- Checking the performance of the installation against applicable requirements
- Identification of weaknesses, wear and tear and potential sources of failure
- Verification of ATEX classification and equipment selection
- Documented status report with recommended priorities

Yaw Ring repair
The challenge
Damaged teeth on a slewing ring can quickly put a wind turbine out of action. Even minor damage leads to misalignment, increased stress on the drive system and, in the worst case, a complete shutdown. The common solution is to replace the entire slewing ring - a process that requires the use of a crane, longer downtime and significant spare parts costs.
The alternative
At Cetec Energy, we approach the problem differently. Our teams perform precision repairs up in the tower. With a specialised and proven swing ring repair procedure, the welding work is done up in the tower and the damaged teeth are rebuilt and restored without dismantling the nacelle.
The result
This method brings the workshop into the wind turbine. It's faster, far more cost-effective and extends the life of critical components. For operators, this means reduced downtime, controlled costs and turbines that are back in production within days - not weeks.
