The scope of work included uptower welding repair of stress cracks in the bed frame of a wind turbine.

NDT was carried out before the repair to verify whether the cracks had developed further in relation to the agreed repair scope. The damaged area was milled, welded in accordance with a task-specific WPS and ground after the welding work was completed.
