Electrical retrofit was carried out on an existing relay system where old and unreliable relays needed to be replaced with new programmed, tested and documented relays.
Cetec Energy programmed and tested new relays off-site, prepared comprehensive project documentation, and oversaw the dismantling, installation and commissioning.
Planning and scheduling
Assessment of the overall impact of the relay replacement and identified risks associated with integration, wiring and configuration in the existing power system.
Implementation
Carrying out the refurbishment from dismantling to commissioning ensured functional equivalence and verified logic and settings against the original schematics.
Review
A third-party review confirmed that the protection features were maintained or improved - the system met reliability and performance standards.
