Cetec Energy carried out an uptower structural retrofit of a wind turbine bed frame as part of a crack repair scope. The work included welding repair, installation of a structural reinforcement solution and documentation to support lifetime extension.
The scope included NDT inspection and welding repair of cracks in the wind turbine bed frame, as well as installation of a complete structural reinforcement solution on the load-bearing structure. The purpose was to increase structural stability, reduce the risk of recurring stress damage and establish a documented basis for lifetime extension and continued operation.
