The scope included a custom lifting and fixation solution for safe bolt removal and controlled access to the wind turbine bed frame. The solution made it possible to hold relevant components in place during the work and create space for welding repair in an area with restricted access.
The repair work included milling of the damaged area, welding in accordance with the relevant WPS, grinding, NDT using liquid penetrant testing, inspection and technical documentation.
