Rope Access & Inspection

Technical inspection performed with both traditional and rope access. Precision and safety - regardless of access conditions.

Inspection of complex structures and hard-to-reach areas

Cetec Energy performs inspections using both traditional access methods and rope access where these are inappropriate or ineffective. Our certified technicians work safely and accurately on tall, complex and difficult-to-access structures across the energy sector - both onshore and offshore.

We ensure efficient inspections with minimal impact on daily operations by combining flexible access methods with solid technical experience to customise inspection work to the specific installation and operating environment.

Non-destructive testing

Non-destructive testing is used to assess materials, joints and components without damaging them. The methods provide a precise insight into quality, integrity and potential defects - during production, installation and as part of ongoing operation and maintenance. NDT creates a safe and documented basis for engineering decisions and contributes to extended lifetime and stable operation.

Rope Access

Rope access is used for tasks on high, complex and inaccessible structures where access and the working environment place special demands. The method allows for safe and controlled execution in situations where efficiency, precision and correct execution are crucial. Rope access is widely used across the energy sector and is a well-established approach to working in demanding environments.

Cetec Energy has at its disposal IRATA certified rope access technicians, which operates according to international standards for safety, quality and labour discipline. The certification ensures that the work is carried out in a controlled, correct manner and with a high focus on both safety and professionalism.

Our teams are made up of technicians at multiple IRATA levels, making it possible to assemble the right staffing for each job:

IRATA Level 1
Performs practical tasks under direct supervision. Level 1 technicians specialise in safe rope work and the correct use of equipment and procedures.

IRATA Level 2
Have increased experience and responsibility and can perform more complex tasks. Level 2 technicians actively contribute to planning, risk assessment and ensure proper setup of rope systems.

IRATA Level 3
Act as a supervisor and have overall responsibility for the safety and performance of the work. Level 3 technicians plan the job, lead the team, conduct risk assessments and ensure all IRATA procedures are followed.

Inspection is a crucial part of our customers' operational reliability. By combining inspection with traditional access and rope access, we can customise the effort to the specific installation and the actual conditions on site.

An accurate picture gives our customers a better basis for decision-making, fewer surprises and the ability to act in time. This helps ensure stable operations, planned maintenance and more efficient utilisation of their assets.

Inspection solutions for onshore and offshore

Cetec Energy was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Esbjerg, Denmark. The company has developed into a trusted partner for some of the most demanding energy projects worldwide. Our global reach is supported by a deep understanding of local and international standards, ensuring consistent quality and regulatory compliance wherever we operate.

Yaw Ring Repair

Yaw ring repair becomes relevant when damaged teeth on a yaw ring affect the wind turbine's ability to turn the nacelle correctly towards the windthe.

The challenge

Worn and broken teeth on the yaw ring can lead to misalignment, increased stress on the drive system and, in the worst case, downtime.

The traditional solution is often to replace the entire yaw ring. This typically requires a crane, longer downtime and significant costs for spare parts, planning and external equipment.

The alternative

At Cetec Energy, we perform yaw ring repair on the uptower. This means that the repair can be carried out directly in the wind turbine without full disassembly of the nacelle.

Using a specialised and proven procedure, the damaged teeth are milled, welded and restored so that the tooth profile again matches the required geometry. The work is carried out with a focus on quality, documentation and reliability.

The result

The method brings the workshop's competences uptower in the wind turbine. For the operator, this means shorter downtime, lower overall costs and a more controlled process than a full replacement.

This type of yaw ring repair can extend the life of a critical component and get the turbine back in production within days - not weeks.

Fully Integrated process for welding and non-destructive testing

Combining welding services with non-destructive testing (NDT) ensures both correct execution and documented quality in the same workflow. This allows for quick verification of welds and a more efficient process from repair to approval. The result is higher quality, shorter downtime and from a one-stop-shop supplier
